Even so this is a non commercial organization, I feel, that it would serve all Seawind owners to be able to have access to a central location with information as to how to service their boat, engines and other components.  The idea is to list sources for spare parts, haul out places, and engine service locations not only in the USA but worldwide.  I propose this to be done by Seawind owners submitting to this site either on the bulletin board or via email experiences, locations, and service organizations that they had good experiences with and can deal with a Seawind 1000.

The main categories are:

Haul out facilities: (remember, the SW1000 is 19' 6" wide) for the Bay Area are:

http://www.kkmi.com/  Actually they have a really cute description of how to get there. Very amusing.

Engine service:

Your local Yamaha dealer.  Check for parts online at http://parts.yamaha-motor.com . I have not identified the US model that this engine closely resembles or uses parts from.  If someone knows let me know and I list it here.
The Carburetor on the 9.9 are actually the carburetors from a 15HP motor. In fact this seems to be a 15HP engine as compared with drawings from service manuals I saw. I needed carburetor parts and the 15HP engine matched.  Also, I lost one of the crank case covers, and found it on a 15HP US engine.
Spare props are apparently the same as on US engines. Don't toss away the old one (unless totaled) keep them as emergency spare. Also keep some spare prop nuts and cotter pins.

Spare parts:

The following list is a start for engine parts numbers, available from any Yamaha dealer.
